I love sweet cream. I'm not usually much on sweet drinks, but I'm a sucker for the Starbucks vanilla sweet cream cold brews. This comes together quickly and tastes great! (Use the cream and milk rather than half and half - you need a higher fat content so it doesn't curdle when you add it to coffee.)
You'll need:
- 1 1/2 c heavy cream
- 2/3 c 2% milk
- 4 to 6 Tbs vanilla syrup (to taste)
Use a whisk to combine all ingredients well.
Store in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks (depending on expiration date for the dairy ingredients!).
Make Cold Foam:
I'm a big, big fan of Starbucks cold foam. So here's a cheat: close the mason jar and shake shake shake it. This will aerate it - feel free to do this as much or as little as you'd like for the level of foam you want - and then pour about 2 Tbs into a 12 oz coffee.
