This is the alfredo sauce that made me a fan. This recipe was once published by Olive Garden, and eventually taken offline - but, thanks to Reddit, I found it again, and here it is!
You'll need:
- 1 Tbs butter
- 1 Tbs minced garlic
- 1 Tbs flour
- 1 1/2 c half and half
- 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
In a medium saucepan, melt 1 Tbs butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add the flour and stir with a whisk until combined.
Pour in half and half, cheese, and seasoning. Cook over medium while whisking until thick - 3 to 5 minutes.
Serve with fettucine or pasta of choice! One recipe will be the perfect amount for 12 to 16 oz of pasta.
